I went to see a dentist for the first time in 4 years. I
had 17 cavities. 3 visits (9 hours) of fillings later, I am
'fixed'. Problem is, my right side molars now hurt more
than before. I believe they hollowed out some decayed
teeth, and failed to fill some of the holes. I can feel a
few monstrous gaps in the back there. In additon, a few of
the molar fillings are so huge and 'tight' that the gums
around those molars have been mildly swollen since the
visits

It is now 2 months post, and I am in constant pain

fucking mouthjackers

fuckin hate it when the mouth feels like a construction
site. even worse when you had a cowboy builder run over it.
go see a better dent your people trust and let him take a
look at it.

:( That's shit dude.

I have one of my wisdom teeth coming through which hurts a
bit, but it's nothing on you, from what you've said.

Hope it gets sorted soon, man.

My mate said he thinks dentists often do more work than they
need to. May be true, as it could be a way of getting paid
more, I s'pose. How much did you pay for your fillings?

the gums have been swollen cos they're not used to the
foreign bodies on your mouth, it will pass. the cavity in
your right side molar was perhaps very close to the nerve,
in case it keeps on hurting your dentist will need to remove
the fill and kill the nerve of the tooth, then place a pivot
and a capsule on it.
