all the other hip hop "artists" and I'm not a hip hop fan.
Actually I hate it.

It seems like yesterday I was sitting in my living watching
Rap City, Leaders of the New School videos like 'Case of the
PTA' and 'Sobb Story'.

His albums have a lot of fucking filler but always has a few
gems on them. Yeah, I like Busta.

Hah! It seems that even peopel who don't like Hip-hop('cept
for d-hex) dig busta. He was my introduction to a whole new
world of music. Anyone who won't even TRY to listen to
Hip-Hop just 'cause they think it's "ghetto" can boast of
being narrow-minded. Hip-Hop is the best modern music
form(note: Modern, not of ALL times). Most of it beats Aphex
down a hole. I mean.. if you wanna relax, you can't put on
some Aphex CD(unless you make your own cd of ONLY calm songs
or something) but Hip-Hop soothes.

Bus-a-bus KICKS ASS!

Busta and Ja Rule should do a collabo.

offline D-Hex from Blue Springs Missouri (United States) on 2002-03-31 00:20 [#00151205]

common,,,why cant hip hop songs just feature one artist
anymore?

why does ja rule have to make an appearance on every single
female hip hop r and b singer bitch suck fest?

and why do the beats to all these songs sound so cheesy?

Finally,,,why cant just one hip hop artist revolutionize the
genre with some changing beats, 'intelligent' rhymes, stuff
like this. Outkast is on the right track i think but man,
it can go a lot further imo.

By saying that, you are just saying "I have never actually
LISTENED to a Hip-hop song."

you'd hafta resort to underground hip hop for those kinds of
qualities in such a genre.

its happening d-hex...but not on the radio...

see:
anti-pop consortium
cannibal ox
anitcon
clouddead
etc.

having said that...busta rhymes is cool
probably one of the only cool mainstream hip hop artists i
can think of...
he's almost like the aphex of the mainstream hip hop
world...beard and everything...

although...you do have a point with the mainstream hip hop
these days...
production by timbaland and/or the neptunes (both of which
arent that bad but...)and a guest appearence by ja rule in
*every* track does make things a bit...sameish...

if you're looking for intelligent hip hop i do recommend
outkast, also De la soul and black eyed peas.

i think busta is phat...

i'm also starting to like the crazy and ingenius production
of Missy Elliot, her new stuff like "get your freak on" is
on a risky limb to the norm hip-hop, but it's phat...and has
shoved it's way into the scene. any artist that has that
power has my respect.

anyone like that neptunes mo-fo artist producer? i think he
sucks ass!!! and wealsed his way into the spotlight...i hope
his 15 mins of fame are over soon...

the neptunes are a duo - pharrell williams and chad hugo.
williams is the black guy who often sings the hooks.

as for missy, the bulk of the tracks are produced by
timbaland.

A Tribe Called Quest were pretty awesome from what I've
heard... which isn't THAT much, but it was enough to almost
convince me to buy an album of theirs... I will
eventually...
