It's out tomorrow! I'm so excited it's pathetic.

Anyone else planning on getting it? Any 360 owners fancy a
few online fights?

I'll probably get it for nostalgia's sake, but I can't say
I'm overly hyped, though it does look excellent. Hard to
believe people were so pessimistic about this game, gamers
will complain about anything. I just don't personally care
about fighting games anymore, and since this is going to
play exactly like SF2, it probably won't draw me back in.
With Killzone 2 and RE5 out soon, there won't be time for me
to learn the intricacies. I'll probably be scared away from
the online.

The PS3 and 360 d-pads are also terrible, and I don't want
to invest in a stick.

Dear god man buy it!

I'm going to give it a week or two of trying to play with
the 360 analogue stick. If that fails I'll invest in a fight
pad. Or trade it in. Who knows. I've got literally months
out play out of every other iteration of this series though
so I should think I'll be sticking with it. I'm going to go
play SSF2THD in moist anticipation.

got it yesterday, superb but you'll need a stick or one of
those madcatz fightpads. I'm on the PS3 though.

Just picked up the PS3 version late last night. Waiting on
my PS1 to PS3 controller converter to arrive for my arcade
stick, then I will give it a workout.

This is pretty glorious, though going for a dragon punch
when someone is jumping in is a crapshoot with this shitty
PS3 d-pad.

I started the story and kept getting challenged, I should
probably turn that off. Won my first player match handily
but have been getting annihilated since. It's really
intimidating.

I've only gotten around to playing it twice so far, but I am
making some headway with Sagat. It's just a matter of
getting these focus attack cancels down pat.

I'm really looking forward to the PC version. I hope Capcom
doesn't drop the ball on PC-porting again... It's still TBA
2009 but I've got my hopes up.

Sagat's ducking roundhouse really sucks, it seems to have a
range of about 3 inches :_-(. I'd use him more if I could
reliably pull the Tiger Knee, but I never could.

Balrog is definitely my guy so far, I love spamming his
rushing attacks, and the short-dashing uppercat is still a
brutal anti-air. I started loving Balrog in Super Turbo when
he got his vicious super-combo, it's even better here.

surprisingly enough e-honda is my man, ive went 15 rounds
ranked online unbeaten in a row, KHAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!

Well, they changed the tiger knee input from SF2. It's the
same input as his uppercut, but with a kick. Before it was
a hassle to get out consistently because it was nearly a
half circle starting from the bottom and going
counter-clockwise ending at about 1-2 o'clock.

On an unrelated note, SF4 does show some promise. I am in a
way disappointed that Sagat is top right now, because I was
going to pick him as soon as they announced him. Perhaps
I'll pick up someone like Rose on the side.

Also, supposedly Capcom has shipped (not sold....yet) 2
million copies of SF4 to retailers. If this is any
indication they better get their butts in gear and make
another marvel vs series in complete 2D. I've seen snippets
where both parties may be interested, so hopefully this will
be the catalyst.

my main concern is the price of the arcade sticks, goin for
around £200 on the interwebs

I need to get one... I just cramped my hand so bad playing
as Guile. I was charging back or down/back constantly for 8
straight fights, and as soon as I stopped playing, the
tightness and agony hit. It's weird, because I also have
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for PS2 and it never
hurt me this much.

I'm much more into the game than I thought I was going to
be. It's awesome.
