just turn off the Aero interface. you can do that on all
versions of Vista, right?

My new laptop came with vista too. I personally like it now
that i've had it 3 months and am used to it.
I just got the newest version of mozilla.got add blocker and
grease monkey...and some app that makes it so nothing pops
up unless you want it to...(like youtube vids, or any
vids....)

well, there's stuff you can install
google hit 1, 3 for instance. but really fuck
microsoft for deciding for me the 'bread crumb' adress bar
works just as well

It already does...

One difference though - they have these things called
'gadgets' which are like mini-applications that you can open
separately of..... of wait.
