its brilliant!

a fun detail at least for me is that it's set sometime in
the eighties, and large portions of it were shot in
locations where i spent alot of time as a child, some of it
just around the corner of my house so its very nostalgic to
me. i've had alot of fun in that public bath as a kid.

haha, i thought the title meant something about rats...

SM Penny: thats nice, a film has been made in my
hometown aswell by my favourite comedian.
feels awkwardly funny in some scenes :)

SPOILER BEGINS

"she" is in fact a boy, "elias" and some weirdos cut off his
little weenie (and subsequently chewed on it) during the
vampirification rite.

SPOILER ENDS

I didn't like it as much as you guys. For Swedish vampire
movies – now a pricewinning genre – I prefer Vampyr
(Vampire).

De ofrivilliga (The forced) is good but the masterpiece is
Östlund's motion picture debut, Gitarrmongot (The Guitar
Fool). Human existence is there portrayed to its essence,
with a striking wit and humour. While writing this film,
Östlund has had the pen scratching life's nerve. De
ofrivlliga is the sociologization of these preconditions.
