I just finished reading "seeds of destruction". It's a book about how genetic manipulation food is tied to an imperialistic agenda (started by extremely racist bourgeoisie). It's actually really good, and very accurate. Luckly I have access to some of the documents in the foot notes (got some poli sci friends doing their masters etc) and a lot of the information checks out. Yes the green text on black background out of context quotes are less then creditable, but you need to look no further then a well equipped library for similar globalization Theseus's (by people with reputable credentials). Off the top of my head, the one 'NEW WORLD ORDER' flavored fact that is actually alarming is that Julien Huxley was one of the founders and first director of UNESCO. This man was a biologist who was a leading eugenicist. Pre Nazi Germany this was something some people actually took interest in from the looks of it. They even had publications devoted to it. A well equipped library won't refute basic history, though the conspiracy films do the subject justice in a coles notes type fashion. |

Which is more damaging in the long run? Singling out people with such messed up and dangerous views for mockery and ridicule, or letting them pass their "meme" (for want of a better word) on, out of not wanting to step on anyone's toes? Something I'd like to point out to yourself and dariusgriffin about what I posted - I wasn't nasty; I just ridiculed. When person A states a ridiculous (and dangerous) position and person B, is person B really setting out to hurt them emotionally for their own pleasure? When holocaust deniers are ridiculed, are those doing the ridiculing bent on emotional hurt, or ostracisation of the holocaust denier's views? Someone with such irrational views, like the person whom i quoted, won't be swayed by logic or reasoned debate. The person appealing to reason will be cast off as a "pawn of the NWO" (similarly exchangable with "international Jewry" or "liberal media"). You're right to call for reason and logic but sometimes I feel just too fed up to even consider wasting my time on it. It's not the right way to be, but there you go, it's the way it is. Do you not agree that ballsily stating that global warming is a myth and that people's time and energy would be better spent concentrating on the rise of the "new world order" is frighteningly ignorant and dangerous? |
