It resides on a play station 2, makes me want to pull
people out of their cars and drive around in them, and work
for the mob.

The interface. Everything. Can't say enuf good things about
it.

GTA3 is the business! There's nothing quite like a bit of
street brutality!!

Setting fire to people with flame throwers and watching them
run...is a nice touch!!

i like getting postitues in the back of my car, doing them

i played it but one time and i didn't drop the controller

video games very often.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2002-03-31 13:36 [#00151894]

I think everyone should play it!!!

Unfortunately, Taoist, I don't own it. But my friend Josh
does. I will give you his address. We can both drop in and
suprise him at different times of the week, and prove to him
what a mutual blessing and a mistake buying this game really
is.

GTA3 is worse than crack. Especially once I started jumping
on top of passing cars and using them as mobile platforms
for slaughtering pedestrians.

Darth Manchu, can I quote you in my paper, using your last
statement as an example of attitudes towards violence?

Here in the UK its an 18 rating, so kids can't buy it! But
saying that, I bought it and my 13 year old cousin loves
playing it. As long as people have the common sense to
realise its just a computer game I don't think there is a
problem - a lot of people say it makes kids violent,
rubbish! Better they do it in a simulated environment than
out on the street!

I've not heard of JEdi Knight:Renegade - there's a new Jedi
Knight:Outcast here in the UK, whether or not they've just
changed the names...

I did buy it, and as good as the game looks I took it back,
because my 3D accelerator card isn't powerful enough!

See the topic I created called 'Jedi Knight' and read all
about it!

offline Meho Krljic from Beograd (Yugoslavia) on 2002-04-01 11:26 [#00153334]

Yes, yes, my fault, Because there's this C&C: Renegade
around and I just mixed these two titles in my head...
Sorry. What 3d card do you use (I have geforce 2 mx 400)?

offline Jedi Chris on 2002-04-01 11:32 [#00153340]
Points: 11496 Status: Lurker

The computer I am at now has a 16MB Voodoo 3Dfx AGP card in
it, which isn't a supported card.....and I also have a 32MB
Prophet 4000XT.

I took the Prophet card back out of my computer when Jedi
Knight wouldn't work, because when I power down my PC when I
finish using it, it goes into Standby mode (minimum power
mode) and I could still here the fan on the graphics
card.....and it was quite noisy late at night....

I'll probably change the card at some stage for something
better....but for the time being I'm gonna stick to playing
games on my PS2....at least I'll know the games I buy are
gonna work, without a hardware upgrade!! :)

Jedi Starfighter is an excellent game - if you like space
games! Amazing scenery. You can use Force powers to cripple
other ships - great stuff!

Huh, then I believe it will work on my gef2. I'm not a fan
of console games, i'm afraid. Too dumbeddown for me, most of
them (with exceptions, of course...) I've Read the topic you
mention (the one me and nanotech spammed bigtime) and the
game seems to be good... I like FPS stuff, can't help it...

and unsupported graphics card list..

Thanx, man. Strangely enough, they do not mention Asus gef2
cards... This means that they are supported and no problems
have been met, I guess. I sent you another nice pic.

Darth Manchu? Can I quote you? I got some good stuff going
in this paper and your quote would help me draw the picture
a little clearer. I'd email you with the specifics of how
I'd use it.

i just think it's cool b/c you don't always have to be
running around on missions or racing, you can just drive
around and play with the environment, almost like real life
:-)
