Not that it matters or anything, but I once read an interview with Rick D. James that he wrote some stuff specifically for certain people. And that's a good way to look at writing music. Not necessarily in the sense that they are the ones who can listen to it, cause it was made for them, but it was written from the inspiration of said person.
