there have been a lot of threats innit. lots of people don't
want the stabilty of a good president.

yep.. they apparently receive a lot of threats.

going from that article though i think youd need to be
extremely versed in security and a myriad of other things to
be able to kill obama.. a year of preparation has got to
count for something :P

all in all though i think it will go well, and obama may
change the country for the better, and maybe even the
world!

:)

really believe he will save the world or anything, i dont
see it happening, things will still be shit, but, heres to
hoping.

Of course nothing's gonna change, all the masses and masses
of people going nuts over this guy just shows how well
brainwashing works.

is actually Enoch Powell just pulling a big ole stunt.

even if he fucks everything up i'm pretty confident he isn't
a wolf in sheeps clothing. after all this hype
dissapointments are inevitable, but it's all worth it.

i think i'm more excited that the bush years are finally
over. not that that means anything. probably wont feel like
much of a difference, really. sigh.

what is wrong with you lot. i havn't seen any really
compelling evidence that the guy is anything but basically
decent. he's strong enough, he is inteligent, he will
empower america. lots of things are building up and the next
decade is going to be a very strange time for people. we
need this guy even if he turns out to only be half of what
the world has been promised. the world will feel different
tommorow, just a little.

he will empower businesses, oppress the people slightly less
so they won't say anything, attack iran and what else, and,
if i'm being far too optimistic, will turn the us into a
country slightly to the right of sarkozy's france

i think it's best that folks like you and me remember what
the last 8 years has been, but america mustn't hold on to
any of that now. america is ashamed enough, obama must cure
some of the fear and loathing.

i don't agree. you can't reinvent america, you have to turn
it slowly with a caring hand. america needs pride and
optimism now. watch it flourish

What I mean to say is, sure, with a little luck things might
get a little bit better, but it's certainly no reason to be
content. I think it's dangerous.

J'accuse, America. You stood by and watched. You should have
been rioting in November 2000. Eight years later you want to
feel good about yourselves because a slim majority of you
came out of your sugar coma for long enough to vote for a
conservative Democrat with above-average public speaking
skills.

This does not absolve you.

You were the sole superpower, the beacon of hope, the last
best chance, and you shat the world in every conceivable way
- politically, militarily, culturally, nutritionally,
sexually, economically, and environmentally. You packed your
rectum with cocaine, stuck a giant pink rubber hamburger in
your mouth, bought guns you couldn't afford on credit and
shot anyone who was poor, brown and moving.

Execute your war criminals and I'll take a look at your case
again. In the meantime, go fuck yourselves, individually and
in small intimate fatgroups.

paint the white house black!

it IS a historic moment,
just the sole fact alone that a black man
can be voted to be president in the us.

Really, what did anyone expect? Was Obama really who
everyone wanted? No, unfortunately between him and McCain,
he was the more efficient choice. The only involvement he
will have with the redefinition of America is the history.
Everything else will be determined by what people stand for,
The United States will be no more. And really, since when
has this been the United States? More like the Tolerate
States.

As far as I'm concerned, race and gender was the obvious
reason for the presidency turning out the way it did. It has
no real justification in terms of what Obama has to offer
for the 'change' in America.

Fuck all you Europeans and others who are not living in
America and assume we all are just resting on our laurels or
being ignorant to the fact that the society and economy is
in decline. I don't care what you think, you don't live here
and were not born into this so i really think you're out of
line if you think know something about the way this all
works out for everyone. You're just part of the problem. Try
spreading what little wisdom you may have on the subject,
not the supposed 'knowledge' you think you have.

Even though i to some extent agree with fleetmouse, i'm
completely mesmerized by this guy. He seems like a decent

has a hell of a job ahead of him, that might be impossible
to pull off.

is finally gone. let's give Obama at least 1 year and then
we'll see/judge. i think it would be fair.

any president more intelligent than Bush is better. for

well here in America, only the lower ethnic class riots, the
lower-middle white class protest and talk about conspiracy
theories, and the rest of us show our dissent through the
cable network Comedy Central.

Many of us stop at McDonald's and grab something off the
dollar menu, (since our hours are cut at work it is what's
affordable), and head to our couches to turn on Comedy
Central for another fresh round of dubya jokes.

seriously how many of you are going to grab your pitchfork
and molotov cocktail when your government makes some
decisions you don't agree with, or goes into a war you don't
agree with? please raise your hand if you have even been
involved in a protest? i have not but that is the point,
few of us are involved in anything like that.

his pliability and docility to the Luciferian overlords.

It baffles me that people don't see anything wrong with the
media openly rooting for a candidate, getting him elected,
and helping to create an environment where he is to be
universally adored, and where its almost criminal to
criticize him.

It is perfectly normal for people to like a good natured,
intelligent, competent political candidate. I'd call it a
conspiracy if people WEREN'T biased towards such an
obviously superior pol over Mr. Senile and Ms. Heehaw.
