I would like to say a petition is better than doing nothing but in this circumstance I doubt it is. I agree with ampi; it just seems like a non comittal way for people to ease their conscience. |

Online petitions are irrelevant. They barely are able to effect any change in the art direction of Diablo 3, let alone what is happening on the Gaza strip. The internet is full of self indulgent wankers. Like ecnabniarb said, if you really want to make some change, do it through something more meaningful than a hollow gesture like an online petition. |

Taking the pessimism one step further, maybe its just information harvesting under the guise of a petition (they do this in craigslist personals I think- print generated text with a stolen image to get you to reply with your email address or whatever they want to collect. You can tell which ones are fake because the pictures aren't of fat people.) |
