What do you want to hear in future electronic?

IDM is dead, and it isn't a bad thing. It was a good way
to talk about a group of similar electronic artists from the
mid 90s to the early 00s that were similar to each other,
when they were similar. However in that time the sound has
diverged into many so different niche subgenres. A listener
can't always get into BoC, AE, and AFX as they are now,
because they push different buttons for different people.

So what happens now? Do the individual subgenres continue
to blossom with their own little schools and niches under
them, and the cycle just repeats? Will some group of
brilliant producers latch on to dubstep and french house and
create new hybrids that are as personal and well conceived
as AFX & AE were, and that becomes the modern IDM?

What are you interested in? Who or what are you watching?
Where do you want to see it go?

subgenres is bad becouse it limits artists to perform only
in one style. I claim best specialist is that which can
perform in more genres of music building unbelievable
hybrids which can be accepted in circle of "pro listeners"
besides it can influence other artists and inspire them.

music must be sorted, I think just becouse, u can find what
u like. Quastion is how to describe what u like? Its
dificult to express in words what u like, I claim becouse
our brain interprets music in complex way and more important
diferently for all of us. But asume if u can express music
in words, then listening to music is meaningless.

I don't think bands should exist. I don't think music should
be planned out. I'd like to see people just jamming and
enjoying the phenomenon that is live music. Sounds can be as
grotesque and ear splitting as necessary, so long as they
can keep a beat and make it into patterns of some sort.
