All the original members have now left to pursue solo
projects, having been bored rigid with Captain Hutter's lack
of activity.

Gerald Donald bought the name from the old owners and now he
is Kraftwerk.

i think its like that since 6 months or so (no florian on
recent dates), but you know, they're a bit old ; its not a
critic but i can understand why he left the band after all
those years.

In reality though, Kraftwerk died a long, long time ago.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the new remixes they did for
their live shows, but they haven't actually wrote a decent
original track for over 25 years... Tour De France was quite
awful for the most part, though I did enjoy the track
"Elektrokardiogramm"

Still, the catalogue up until Computer Welt are undisputed
classics.

their music needs the deluxe/remastered CD treatment all the
other 70's/80's bands have gotten these days

Don't remaster, just boost the volume. The layers are
fantastic.

I've heard something about Schneider, though credited, not
writing ANY of the material on the TDF Soundtracks album.

Oh and Computer Welt/World is an amazing album.
