Grim on Mbient - Best of 2008

This time it almost feels like spam as I don't post here
much anymore... Anyway, for those who are interested:

Change!
In decades the year 2008 will be known as the year of
"Change". Not only due to the fantastic historical election
of Obama but also because of the downfall of the global
economic system.
For the first time I tried not only to include my musical
perception but also some news highlights. I might try to
include something like this every year from now on as it
makes it an even more complete annual survey. I always
imagine how it'll sound in about 20 years when I put on the
Best Of mixes. I bet that by including some news highlights
the flashback power will rise much higher.

Although 2008 was a great year for me personally, the best
of 2008 has a somewhat dark atmosphere.

Enjoy!

That speech is historical!

My intention was to tweak the speech and make him say
something else (like I did with the radioshow) but there
wasn't enough useful stuff.

Thanks vlari :)

No way! it's a great homage in my opinion. He doesn't need
it, he did it because he can.

Just like Redpoint, if they want to mask their influence
then they wouldn't pick Redpoint as a name.

Those are some layered news highlightes and it's the
intention to sound a bit chaotic. It expresses the media as
it is nowadays.
A friend of mine used this "terror management" of todays
media for his thesis a few years ago. I kind of used that
idea.

The money advert halfway the mix is to show the absurdism of
todays feudal system. One of the things that caused the
credit crisis.

The Obama speech is historical, I just had to include that.
:)

This will be the year of change, obama?

Obama for change everyone!

Obama for change!

Fuck ya, im so excited, he sure is going to change
everything. He is going to eliminate human greed, the very
thing that got him in the position he is in today.

Obama for change! Fuck yes!

For your reassurance: you don't have to agree with
everything.

Thank you for your expertise though!
