the shoethrower's aim is really impressive.

especially funny how he rationalizes it. "things like this
can happen in a free society...."

His little speech after is really incredibly stupid. He's no
good without a script (not that it helps him too much to
have one either)

all the guy was doing was wanting to swap shoes with bush,
he just does stuff that may be considered violent

He's an old man who somehow still looks like a kid. I can
only imagine what his dumb pampered life was like.

It was interesting to see him talk without a script for the
first time. TBH, I don't think he sounded stupid for what he
said and I would even go so far as to say I even resepct him
a bit more for what he said.

Thanks for posting- it was funny, too! =)

You have to hand it to the guy. He just wanted to put his
best foot forward, you know, to keep Bush on his toes. It
was one small step for Iraqi journalism. Of course, Bush is
thinking "don't tread on me" but sometimes you can't avoid
going toe-to-toe with someone. Bush was considering throwing
one of the shoes back, but hadn't his advisers warned him
about keeping a foot in two camps?

he says that throwing a shoe at someone for attention is
analogous to going to a rally and having people yell at
you.

uuummmm......?
