reason device combinations

i'm sticking with reason. thing is that there are so many
devices and routing options that i know there must be some
really funky tricks and stuff. suggest some device chains,
post some combinator patches. get my brains working.

reason sure is easy to work with. I miss it. It's been ages
since I've done anything on it. Might have to look into
picking up a legit copy as I never actually owned it.

oh, you want some actually useful stuff, not the ramblings
of my boredness.

can't really help you there. I lost all of my reason files
when my harddrive became 100% fragmented and in the process
of trying to fix it I accidently reformatted the whole
drive.

good luck though, and be sure to let us hear whatever it is
you end up making. :]

the hacks run smoothly enough for me and i have no money.
there was that granular thing i found but that's it
really

so i watch 'ant and dec; where did it all go right' and give
y'all an hour to blow my mind and i get nothing?
it's just me and guybrush, and i don't even think he's that
bothered.

vaolin malstrom patch (invented by me)
initialise patch
set osc a to femalefalsetto wave (ignore osc b)
set motion to -44
set shift to 12
atk 12 dec 127 sus 127 rel 10
set mod a to osc a
set mod a pitch to 10, shift -2, rate 64, wave curve 7
route osc a to a filter and set lp12 freq to 60. no res.
set poly to 1, activate legato mode, set portamento to 38
(osc a gain should be automated or modulated with mod b vol
for good dynamic)
externally route malstrom audio to eq; freq 90 gain 26 (q
set to default) to catch high mid harmonics. finally the
whole thing works when routed to a large hall reverb (rv-7
or advanced reverb), set it to wet/dry 127 (full wet).
should sound best when overlapping note on to trigger
portamento. it's nice try it with your keyboard

i would love to help, but i know nothing about making
musak.

the piano ---> delay tip sounds new/good to me but i think
it might crash my spectrum.

ps. mr quodczeks rocks.

thnx i love that lil number.
yeah i'm not going to get any help. the best i've got is
these kind of patches, where as this thread was supposed to
be a about finding new and wacky ways to use the devices in
complex chains to make new sounds besides beeeep and baaarp.
all i've done here is malstrom > reverb really, but it's a
nice lil instrument. it's that violin/horn thing in that one
you liked ('it will get you soon?'can't remember).
i'll find a way and make reason my bitch.

I'm just looking for some Reason patches I did ages ago,
they're just daft noises really but are fun to play with.

inadequate and ashamed. i'd love to be that dedicated

put some random oscilators going into everything splitted
and joined and splitted and joined and going into
evertything.

then add reverb and delay.
