you are going to die

it's something i've been thinking about lately. this just
came up for me again in the cake thread. who else thinks
about their own death from time to time? it will be an
interesting thing to go through, and it is going to be
something that we are all going to have to do. do you think
your life is going to go on for a long time, or do you think
you are going to die relatively young? i think, and this is
just my thoughts, no all powerful voice told me it, but i
think i am going to live to be fairly old (at least 50)...
what about you guys?

The 'Cake or death?' thread I made was just a joke. It's
part of Eddie Izzard's "Dressed To Kill" routine.

About death. I'd like to die by my own hands. I imagine i'll
reach a point in my life when going through the day to day
bullshit of living will be more trouble than it's worth.

i don't know how i'm going to die...probably in an accident
to tell the truth, but my ex-girlfriend and i would play
with questions like these all the time, and here's how i'd
LIKE to die:

become a well reconized electro musician, and become gobbled
up my the media and made to conform. being swept up by the
money and fame i do. During a voilent stage theatric
preformance, i devise a fantasy on-stage death where i blow
my fake brains out into the crowd to a bad ass tune about
death. after seeing what i've become i pull a kurt cobain
and kill myself, excpet when the gun/brains are suposed to
be fake, it's real...and the crowd eats it up, and can't get
enough....

I try not to think about it... it'll happen when and how it
happens...

i think i'd like to die peacefully in my bed with my family
and friends around me... just lie there with them around
me, stay awake till then end, and then say my final
goodbye...

someone told me i'd live till i was atleast 60 (but i can't
remember who).

but a lot of the time i think i'm just asking to get my punk
ass shit kicked or run down.

i'll prolly die from some stupid mistake like not looking
before i cross the street. or falling down like a million
concrete stairs.
or somehting dumb like that.
it'll prolly be own stupid fault.

ehehe

I'd like to die after a final meal, a lengthy bit of
reminiscing, and making final arrangements. I'd like to do
it in my room, in the dark except for a few small candles,
and some slow piano going on in the background, maybe
something by Erik Satie.

What's good about doing yourself in is when you have the
date set. You can live out the last week prior to it as
crazy as you want, because you know you aren't going to hang
around to suffer any consequences.

i've actually spent a bit of time considering my own death.
i suppose i'll live to be relatively old, but who knows.
the future is crazy and lately i've been focusing on the
here now business of living in the moment. and you aren't
necessarily going to die anyway. i mean, chances are, you
will die, but just because things are the way they are
doesn't mean that they will always be as they are. i'm not
saying i think i won't die, just that i don't rule out any
possibilities.

this brings out an interesting question...what music qould
you like being played when you died? be it in your head
phones, or on a pa, etc.

have you read steppenwolf steve? it was a little dark for
me, but it really is great and your words just reminded me
if it and you might like it. little slow at first, but this
is completely necessary to set the tone and get into the
character.

i wouldn't mind dying to my own music. i think ill write
the tune that i would like to die to some day when im really
ambitious.

i've wrote a whole cd on this fantasy...it was called
"amorphous suicide fantasies," and each track was a diffrent
ailment leading to the last few where the char, finally
died.

(this cd got lost in my move, and thus i've never been able
to publish it, i have spoken about it in a long time....:*(

*starts to cry*

that's too bad, sounds like it could be quite fun to listen
to, knowing the theme before hand.

yeah, i spent a lot of time on it...and it was sooooo
creative...but part of the beauty is that only a few ppl
heard the tracks (which makes it extreamly rare), and they
told me that they were awsome, which jazzes me up. i also
think that it's kinda ironic that a cd that showcased death
so much, is now dead to the world.

hee hee... i have two birth certificates because i lost my
first one, so i got a replacement, then i found my old one.
does this mean i am living a double life? do i have
multiple personalities? am i going to be re-incarnated?
probably not, i just have two pieces of official paper
rather than one.

I don't want to die just yet. There's more to do on the
planet than you can do in one lifetime. But unfortunately
dying is the price you pay for living...

I don't how I'm going to die... but I always have death
filled dreams, where I die or am ABOUT to die, then I wake
up... I've died in a million different ways so far. :-)

I hope I don't die in a car accident. Oh, what a way to
go... then again, I don't want to live too long... old
people, I mean REALLY old people, their lives seem pathetic.
I don't want to be too old to be useful... then again, maybe
I won't want to die when I DO get old. I dunno. I'm
confused. This topics makes you consider all these things...

"The cost of cryonic suspension at Alcor ranges from $50,000
(neurosuspension, with approximately $17,000 going into the
Patient Care Fund) to $120,000 (whole body suspension, with
approximately $80,000 going into the Patient Care Fund). The
good news is that this can be paid by taking out a life
insurance policy that names Alcor as the beneficiary, so
that when a patient is pronounced legally dead, Alcor
receives the insurance money."

....creepy stuff!

Steve: Eddie Izzard is fucking hilarious! I also saw that
"Dressed to Kill" on HBO a couple times and remember that
cake or death skit among others. He has to be one of the
funniest, weirdest, underrated and most intelligent comedian
out there that I know of.

bah on this thread.
