You asked if anyone was playing it, and that it's out due to tomorrow... all in one breath.
Anyways, it looked pretty awesome to me, hyperspeed in all 3D, impossible to control though, but then sonic turns into a were-hog and nothing gets added to the game but endlessly deep gay furry fandom art.

And also, were-hog can't go hyperspeed, just God Of War style battle, but this time it's your claws instead of knifes flying around. I guess there is a thing in there that people like, but not me.

Sonic games today are retroactive child-molestations in playable form.
This series used to be so stylish, with that angular, techno-pop art direction. But now... oh man, there's a nice picture making the rounds at 4chan of Sonic's character model hanging himself in Garry's mod, I wish I'd saved it.

my god, do you remember the music on the Genesis Sonics? The stuff they try to pass off as BGM in today's Sonic games is so fucking awful I can't look past it to see if there's any good gameplay left. It really sucks that both Nintendo and Sega are slipping in their old age. Oh well, at least we'll have Gears of War 19 to look forward to next month.

wtf. In the last two months 6 awesome games came out. You have nothing to complain about. That should be enough material for a good 4 months or so.

ok, that's fair, but I'm talking about what I see as the decline of Sega and Nintendo. I am thankful that other companies still make fun games. :]

Well, yes and no. Sega is still reeling from their dreamcast debacle, and nintendo has firmly carved a niche making generally easy fun for the whole family type games (aside from their occasional jaunt into survival horror territory).
Its not they aren't making fun games any more. They have just started building a market in the casual gamer demographic, where people like you and I have matured in our taste for games.
