Sorry guys, I know this is kind of a strange place to ask
this question, but a half hour of searching google hasn't
brought me anything useful, maybe one of you will know.

I need to write a cmd script that cuts the contents of a
folder, pastes it into a different folder, and then performs
the same action for 16 other folders. Anyone know anything?

err centillions of switchers must have been thought the
exact same thing before. so if you can't find anything,
there is possibly no way?

i was baffled at first too, but now feeling all comfy using
two finder windows.

Yeah. Thats what I was thinking. This is the second time I
looked, and neither times has anything come up.

wtf is cmd? Are you on about doing a MSDOS batch file?

"Cut" isn't the correct terminology I suspect.
Really all that exists is move and copy. cut/copy/paste is
just the windows way of doing two functions i.e. copy or
move.

I'm tempted to say install cygwin and use a bash script, but
that would be making a rod for my own back I'm sure.

So, find out how to do move is my suggestion.
Because your description is somewhat lacking in detail, my
answer will follow the trend.

Aren't computers easy to use? Just ask jkd, he'll do it in 1
second.

Perhaps you can suggest something needlessly complicated
that would take a mountains worth of effort to convince an
entire industry that its better to use when really it only
addresses a couple superficial issues?

Schoolyard insults are the common ground of every message
board.
