I'm in the same boat - it's very difficult for me to, the
only way I am able to is if I am constantly making a mental
note to correct myself.

I'm always afraid I could turn out like my friend - who has
such a hump he puts the hunch back of notre dame to shame.

haha.. er, sorry bout your friend

the mental note is my main exercise too, i've also regulated
the lumbar roller of the car's seat to make drive feel
better

it is more difficult when you are at work or something -
when you don't have time to think about it and you found
yourself all bended in your concentration

it shucks

today i actually thought about going to a chiropractor
because i am sick of my back hurting all the time.

bad posture, years of neglect and zero exercise has taken
its toll.

has anyone else seeked treatment for (lower) back pain?

i have heard really bad things about chiroractors. like the
whole thing is phoney, sometimes they make things worse than
they already are, and qualifications mean jack shit. I
certainly wouldn't go to one unless you were recommended by
somebody you know it worked for, otherwise go to your
doctor.

wouldn't one say the same thing about traditional western
medicine? not that i'm defending chiropractors eh, nor
condusing someone's ideas, but talking abiut malpratice the
latter is second to no one methinks..

i'm just saying, u are safer with NHS than a chiropractor -
although it might take a month to get an appointment.
at the end of the day, if its down to bad posture theres no
point going to a chiropractor, as they will charge you money
to tell you what you already know - buy a good chair, sit up
straight, take exercise etc.

haha.. if that's what they do, you are right. sometimes
we're just so busy that we have to spend some money to
believe sort of simple advices.

i think chiropractors are hokey, too, they just make your
problem go away for a little while so you have to keep
coming back

seriously try the swiss ball, they are cheap and overtime
you will have a healthy flexible spine.

really ive only only ever heard good things.... a few
farriers ive worked with swear by em, and those boys backs
take a hella lotta strain daily! the qualifications needed
to be a practicing chiropractor are pretty stringent, and if
you can find a person who works on horses backs i'd be
pretty trusting withthem, them have to actually study to be
a qualidied human chiropractor befor they are allowed to
work on horses. and any one who can cure a horsey thats lame
from fat rider, little horse syndrome jus by working their
backs is pretty darn clever.... that said its all a bit
hippytastic holistic type stuff, go to the docs and get
stong pain killers and work thru it.
