I am ravishingly hungry, but can't be bothered to get up to go to the kitchen. I feel invisibly bound to the internet. and my love i love. =) It is as warming and wholesome as Scotch broth. Therefore maybe I don't need food.
Silly thing is, I have some left over pasta, so I wouldn't even have to preapre anything.
Suggestions?

Nah, man. I am sitting on a sofa. =(
But that comment made me laugh a good deal.
Wait a minute- that laughter cost me valuable energy! Darn you! haha.
Let's hear the idea anyway. It may lead to the purchase of a wheelie chair in the fututre. =)

position yourself inside the kitchen with the laptop (like i am right now). When i reach back, i can control the stove, throw stuff in the garbage can, reach for forks and stuff... In a few minutes i will just have to reach back for the kettle with boiling water to fill my pot noodle that i found on the windowsill.

I only I had such a convenient kitchen as yourself, Fah. Unfortunately I do not, therefore I envy you greatly.
I do however have a window between my conservatory-cum-living-room. Maybe I could utuilise this to my advantage the next time my stomach rumbles...

Would take a photo of he garden or woods, so I can see the view the from the window?

I've been fasting for seven days (except for one meal i had last saturday). I've tried giving up juice, too, because drinking anything with calories I consider cheating... it's sort of interesting... food isn't a top priority for everyday functioning, not in its basics, although lack of it certainly takes away any extra energy and motivation you might have. The metabolism slows down. Now I'm willing to break this experiment - gladly! - but it's been an interesting experience. I even managed to walk for two hours and then run for 2 kilometres without having eaten anything for many days. Cool. It seems that the body is pretty flexible in using up its resources. I haven't even been especially hungry until yesterday and today. Now I could have some pasta too.

yea, it's weird. But already on the sixth day i was pretty fatigued. That's why I chose to quit. Today, just a moment ago, I ate something small and I feel superb. :)
But the difference isn't that great between not eating for one day and not eating for seven days. It just feels like a long skipped breakfast. I don't feel especially hungry, either. Maybe tomorrow I'll have to eat a huge pizza or something.
Fasting can be a good idea, at least if you drink enough water, and if you're not super-skinny or an Ethiopian. It cleans the system. Some studies show that fasting for just one day can have great health benefits. But don't do it for religion - please...

Exactly.
You can train your mind to tell your body to do some crazy-ass things.
The more you eat, the more you need to eat in the future.
The less you eat, the less you need to eat in the future. Simple!
Interesting point to bring up, Box-Bob!
