amp; i got that on my pc actually, aint been in the mood to
watch it . feeling really sensitive mentally lately

the quality of the macbook ? i mean, for music - they are
great for midi of course.. any computer is. you just want to
get a reliable computer and you want to backup your data so
you dont lose it when the shit (inevitably) breaks.

thing about computers is - they have a lot of parts to
them. you know? adds this whole level of uncertainty to the
process. lots of moving parts. my other gear though, they
can break and have probs though but its not because
something un-related to them broke and so they are now
inoperable. you know?

i like OSX cause its straightforward and you aint got to
do a lot of extra nonsense to get things done. i have lately
been moving to all hardware tho because this SHIT happens to
me at least once a year where a computer or hard drive fails
on me. i have an MMT8 so its not too big of a prob, i can
still do songs but ill have to record to minidisc or
something. thats also what computers are good at youve got
all that quick recording space and you can just store so
much.

you should ask someone who has been doing midi/recording
with a mac for longer than i have, like i think belb or jivv
maybe i dont know

macbook still cost too much in my opinion. the older model
g3 and g4 iBook and Powerbooks are more affordable and
easier to troubleshoot.

I had an old g4 iBook. the battery life was 4 minutes and
once a week it died for a few hours. I've been a Windows guy
forever and every time I get a blue screen or a similar
problem I always think "wish I had a Mac".

oh well. OSX is the shit, but it's not cheap to be a part of
that experience, ifya na mean.

i never had never any probs with my macbook pro, it might
get system overload, now and then with multiple midi tracks,
but it's pretty solid most of the time. i use my mac like a
sampler, a synth and recorder all in one. but it's better to
just use it for recording and mixing, perhaps some
automation. and get hardware for other things

razorblade; those zeitgeist films are totally bogus and the
response to them is completely atrocious . why does it take
these films to realize that government and religion and such
are insane, corrupt and backwards? of course they are, they
are born of human thought. there is no imagination involved.
we have invested so much in trying to preserve our way of
life and have created religion and atomic bombs to protect
it. that is all that needs to be said, if someone is not
bothered by this and is bottled by consumerism then let them
be - they are part of that system. people are what they DO,
not what they declare or believe they will do. for example;
i have overheard conversations about the zeitgest films in
starbucks restaurants.
