I had the first two albums, is that Boces and Yrselfisteam
or something? "..your mom is on her way home"? ... I didn't
like Deserter Songs, though my girlfriend at the time's
sister loved it and rang me up specially to talk about
Mercury Rev as "my girlfriend at the time" told her I had
two Mercury Rev albums... to be honest I fancied far more
"my girlfriend a the time's" sister than I fancied "my
girlfriend at the time", yet sadly she was married. And had
no interest in me, apart from the fact that I had two
Mercury Rev albums before people heard of Deserter Songs.

Last night I went to this bar where the girls dance with
you, for 6 quid for half an hour, roughly. Roughly speaking
the time, not dancing with you roughly, though I dare say
you could ask. I spent easily about 50 quid (I keep saying
"quid" as there's no pound (sterling) key on my keyboard
(though I could do £ but it doesn't feel right)) I had
a really good time, I didn't intend to go to a bar "where
girls dance with you for 6 quid for half an hour", I
actually just went out for something to eat. But nowhere was
open, just this place "Cafe Venus".. which is one of these
places they call "Cafe con piernas" (.. with legs) on
account that the girls at the bar wear very short shorts /
pants / knickers. This was the first time in 5 years of
living here that I've entered such an etablishment. And they
don't do food. Inevitably, as I'm no professional, I fell in
love with the girl that held my hand for 6 quid for every
half hour. How many half hours.. about 6. She later invited
me to watch her and her friend "dance" for 30 quid in the
luxury of my own hotel/apartment, but I'd run out of funds.
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN?

the 2nd album "strange attractor" is quite amazing, it's a
voiceless ambient-electronic album that should appeal moreso
than the 1st album to ppl here. and it's FREE.
