I believe someone on here has one aswell, and if not i hope someone with a smart mind is able to help me with this...
I'm having some technical problems with my Korg poly 800. A few weeks back it suddenly "crashed" and lost all presets i had stored into it and all it gave me was clicks when i pressed the keys. Lucky enough i discovered that the envelopes were resetted so that was quickly solved. But since then the LFO doesn't route to the filter anymore. I can't trigger the filter with the LFO, and neither can i trigger it by envelope anymore. Working the cut and res by hand still works dandy, and i really checked everything and tried everything. What the fuck people? Help! :(

I just noticed for the first time that there are still some ancient batteries sitting inside and one of em pretty much exploded. But does this solve the whole filter problem if i replaced them? Also checked and cleaned the internals since i already had it opened, but there's nothing wrong with it.

if they circuit board is corroded or damaged because of that, your poly might just be fucked.
its a common problem with the poly-series. i've had the one on my polysex replaced before this happened to me thank god

Hm that might be the case, though there's hardly any corrodation on the circuit board luckily, but then again my eyes might not see anything. Thanks mate, going to try and fix things

get yourself some 90% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol (below that really wont do shit) and some que-tips/cotton swabs and try to wipe away as much of the corrosion as possible.
just be sure to let the alcohol evaporate fully before turning it on for a test run.

i took another hard look at the circuitboards, but there's nothing wrong with it really, no marks of corrosion or loose contacts. I checked all the connected plugs, unplugged and replugged them but still nothing happens with the Filter envelope nor Filter LFO. This is strange, there also aren't any troubleshoot or faqs online, just mods :/
