Hey, everyone. What's the general consensus? Which is
better? I've just burned both to discs and have yet to
listen. Actually, right now I'm starting analogue bubble
five--so far, so good!

Man, that is a good question. I would almost consider
Analogue Bubblebath 5 as a sequal to Melodies from mars.
They both have that muffley ambience about them and very
mellow. But if i had to choose one or the other i would
choose Melodies from Mars

Ahh, gotcha! I'm really big on the analogue
bubblebaths--analogue bubbelbath goes through phases of
being my favorite aphex release. I'm only on track two of
ABB 5 right now--and only about one minute into it, but this
sounds promising!

hahaha Yah--I don't really like deciding between two records
a definite preference. I often think--I go through phases
of which of a musician's works I like best. I think it
fluctuates with Autechre. Amber and the basscadet e.p. are
the primary contenders there--both great.

It's a good match... probably I'd choose A.B.B. 5, but MFM
is great too.

AB5 is far better...

Quality & Soundwise, you can tell that MfM was designed for
Computer Games...I believe that was the idea (i.e. AFX as
soundtrack to Nintendo or whoever)...Whether they were
rejected or the project feel thru, I have no idea...

But fuck, it's free AFX so who am I to complain....
