it's wrong to make a thread for a movie and/or artist that have been discussed over and over, but it's one of those days. can't stop me now. i have a wobbly head from the flu and structure in my language is nowhere to be found. i am sorry.
this sunday, i watched lost highway for the 2nd time, first viewing a few years back, this time completely mesmerized by it. not an enjoyable experience by any means, but how often does a film stick in your head for longer than a day or two? brilliant in all its vagueness (i'll never pretend i understand whats going on in any lynch movie).
then there's this bowie song 'deranged' which loops at the title menu. i let it loop for about 15 minutes and now i'm hooked, but the thing is i'm not even such a fan of his. It's a perfect example of how a perfect combination between film and music make a huge impact.
so now i'd be interested to know if anyone has an interesting interpretation of what goes on in the movie (double identity/schizophrenia/timeloop/timetravel/dream vs reality etc), as well as what other david bowie songs are in a similar vein as 'deranged'.
crowd gives thansk, david lynch gives nightmares, david bowie gives red shoes and blues.
we've met before, haven't we?

Well, Deranged is off of the album "Outside", so that's a start, some songs on there... are... similar. Don't know what else to contribute. I like Outside, ummmm.
