Ok, so the Large Hadron Colider will cause the end of the world as you might know. Some scientists are predicting a black hole will appear and absorb everything on earth. Today they started to test it with some protons only and in one mounth they really will recreate the conditions of the Big Bang. I personaly think it would be awesome if the end of the world took place in Switzerland...Seriously !!! What do you think ? Is the press media in your country is also amused/terrified by it ? |

the media n the UK is absolutely hysterical over the chance of a black hole being created, so much so it's actually funny reading amazingly misleading articles in newspapers and on the internet about how the 'LHC will destroy the universe', and then seeing all the comments from a) ignorant people who believe everything what the papers print is true, b) the religious nuts carping on about how it 'is the rapture and jesus will come down and judge us all', and c) the minority of level-headed, rational-thinking people like me trying to set them straight |

yes but a few points 1) don't let the truth get in the way of a good story 2) the sun and the mail respectively sell 3 & 2 million copies daily 3) people love a good panic. 4) its something to talk about 5)you science boffins. 6) opinion = fact 7) the fact that thousands of scientists have spent many many years reasearching this is irrelevant because 'WE MAY DIE' 8) |
