can someone tell me a really good and creepy horror ost,
preferably with an orchestral arrangement and minimal if not
no electronic instruments?

the shining ost is a good example, especially the intro and
some of the atonal crazy stuff later on.. although more
tonal would be good too.

another one i have is the ring usa ost.. really good stuff..

my cousin has mentioned Goblin a fair bit. i've never really

the topic title.

Goblin is fantastic. They have a lot of stuff too. Its not
very horrorish though.

Halloween is a classic as well.

I will post more suggestions later.

I second that.

The soundtrack to The Fog is superb as well. Another idea
might be checking out video game soundtracks as well. Silent
Hill 2 and Fatal Frame have an excellent scores, for
example.

i found a tale of two sisters to be extremely effective..
but i must admit i did not understand the ending as much or
what was going on.. a bit complicated but i didnt watch it
again either cuz i been so busy..

as for the music, all i remember right now are piano pieces?
which were great though.

There's still bits of it i don't get now like the burnt girl
under the sink. But the rest of the story fits pretty good
once you figure it out.

thanks for posting that, but sadly thats exactly what im NOT
looking for.. i found a bunch of those types in old horror
movies with organs, synths and choir, but i really want more
orchestral oriented ..

coil did the original themes for hellraiser, but the studio
wouldn't use them. i think they are good and right creepy
though. they are on the unnatural history 2 cd.

Jerry Goldsmith- ''The Omen''

The previous OST I cited isn't really orchestral at all,
just merely awesome
