stay clear of budweiser and coors and you'll be fine.

staropramen & budvar are particularly nice lagers.

Budweiser is my favorite of the big American beers, if one
could have a such a thing. At least where I live, right
next to a factory, it still has a hint of hoppy crispness
that I enjoy. Sure they're all shit, but give me that
watery glass with salt and lime on a hot day and I'll drink
it up. (salt and lime not necessary)

Last lager I tried was Bohemia, it was alright.

i tend to just buy whatever's brewed closest because people
who transport beer don't know what they're doing, they just
skunk the shit or it gets stale

stella is way overrated. when it's warm it tastes like
tomato soup. when it's cold it tasted like whatever

czech beer rules but when i buy it in the US it tastes like
shit...
so ive been buying american pale ales while im here. sierra
nevada, summit EPA, anchor steam, boulevard

when im in europe: samuel smith's nut brown, budvar,
starobrno

vinegar means its off. don't drink it.
My first pint of "real ale" was off, I didn't realise and
thought they all tasted like shitty vinegar. It was a good
year later before I was brave enough to try again and
realise the truth.

As a general rule, the more obscure the beer looks, the more
likely it is to be really good (or possibly not). It's a fun
game to play. Also, watch out for the %ABV. Many a night
I've found a lovely little beer only to discover it is 7%
after pint number 5 or 6 usually on a school night :(

£1. 80 ( $3.60ish) a bottle is allot. i cant buy multi
packs caue i end up drinking them all ...i just bought a
multi pack of walker salt n vinegar and ive eaten 4 bags

Piraat
Delirium Tremens
Horny Devil

There are so many good brews out there that it makes me kind
of sad that people have a hard time drinking anything else
then the same old lager they have had for years. There's
powerfull, hoppy American IPA's, sweet full bodied German
dobbelbocks, strong complex Belgian brune's, spicy wheat
beers (much more refreshing on a hot day then a lager),
lambic like sparkling tart gueze's, kriek (beer with
cherries), frambozen bier (with raspberrys), there's also
sophisticated "barley wines" (strong, complex zipper beers)
that improves with age and black, roasted porters, stouts
and imperial stouts that are full of coffe, chocolate and
other "dark" tastes, perfect dessert beers! I belive that
there's a beer for every taste, besides the basic lager
aswell. Try something new, it might taste good..

right on.

Duvel saved me at a Beautiful Days, i was having a sunday
mid morning slump, a couple of those tasty (and strong)
little buggers sat me right back up on my steed and set me
right for the day.

Beer is a wonderful world as _awt_ has said why stick to
drinking pissy common name lagers when there is a plethora
of brews to behold.
