This might be good for a laugh. I first started messing with a pirated copy of Fruity Loops 3 back in 2002, shortly after I discovered experimental electronic music and joined this board. Since that time I have switched software many times and have made roughly 450 tracks. This is the 39th track I made, while still using Fruity Loops 3. It's called Frust, and it is absolutely TERRIBLE. enjoy... . |

Frust - 4/10 - needs more snare. i've heard much worse. Poo - 3/10 - crap atonal melodies/lack of harmony yawnsville. 5 Degreez - 1/10 sounds like autechre and jimmy edgar having a fight. Pure Underground - n/a - if you're only spending 20 minutes on it, it hardly counts. Made somewhatever - 1/10 - the sound of the 'chewy organ' being kicked down the stairs. |

Ok, despite the fact that Frust is completely unlistenable for any duration of time, I realize now that the name of the game is Long and Boring. I therefore submit my 4th song ever created, "The Midnight Boat Ride." (Not to be confused with the somewhat recently spammed and all around decent "Fuck The Midnight Boat Ride.") . I'm shooting for 3 or below here, noseburger. |

haha you guys, theres no need to be polite. i think that was done in 2003/2004 and was either the second or third track i ever did. i believe i was trying to rip off fsol, but failed miserably. early efforts of anything are always crap, but it's fun to look back. i still have some early artwork and photoshop efforts on my hdd too. they are similarly terrible :) |

haha, while it's easy to like the vibe on that track for a min, it quickly wears out it's welcome and then goes on for four more minutes... a fine example of a bad newbie tune ;p |
