heh yea that is pretty nice. it would be cool if they had a
cartoon skin for the gun, and if the baddies said "doh" when
you shot them.

What kind of specs do i need for quake 3? I've never really
bothered with pc gaming cos in my experience it's a complete
gamble wether it will work or be properly playable. And of
course when i said buy i obviously meant steal. Can you even
buy it anymore?
I will await your answer in the morning whilst you lot party
on across the pond.

um, any computer bought sometime this century will play q3a
just fine - granted it was the best graphics engine at the
time, but that was kind of nine years ago.

I never really got into Quake 3 but that map looks spot
on/very well done. Wouldn't mind trying it out if I didn't
have to go to the trouble of getting Q3.

did anyone ever have the simpsons doom .wad file? it was
awesome and obnoxious at the same time. there was nothing
like running into a hoard of barney-cacodemons and being
assaulted with belches and ball lightning.

haha! damn.
and you'd think with the sample being played every few
seconds at certain parts, the exact line would be nicely
imprinted in my mind.
i blame society! among other more things, like the fact i
played it as a little kid etc.

So i don't get it......Is that a patch for the game or a
hacked version of the game? I don't really know which thing
to click on (multiple clicky choices). Can i hold your hand?

OpenArena is an open source first-person shooter computer
game based heavily on the Quake III Arena style deathmatch.
The OpenArena project was first started on August 19, 2005,
the day after the id Tech 3 GPL source code release.

OpenArena's greatest goal is to make a completely free, open
source FPS game that devives itself strongly from Quake III.
Its game engine is ioquake3, based upon id Software's GPL id
Tech 3. OpenArena is entirely free as in speech, as the game
engine, game code and data are all free and open content.

in game ads? no thanks. plus im betting it will have only
limited support for user made maps.

also, it has recently been renamed quake live.
