I do not have a computer at home. I enjoy the net only at the university. But... I can live without it. What is really our technology? Just give me a good book and a bottle of wine...

Alice...I certainly agree...I work on the internet 10 hours a night...I would MUCH rather have a good book than surfing around on here.
I think 90% of the internet is shit anyways.....

yea native americans have as much significance as the rest of us imo.
the klondike gold rush precipitated a change to the Eskimo culture here permanently. makes me wonder what it's like to be in their shoes sometimes.

Do we need them NO......are they useful yes! they have changed the way people communicate. it's wonderful how i can talk to people from the four corners of the world and share views with people who think like me.....and people who don't. ehhehe
i dunno....it's opened up the world in many more wonderful ways than i can explain. but with that comes the bad......but i think overall it's a good thing.
i still love reading.....the computer will never change that....just changes when i find time to read =0)

I think the Internet is the most culturally-significant invention since the printing press. We've only just begun to tap its potential.
