I do not have a computer at home. I enjoy the net only at
the university. But... I can live without it. What is really
our technology? Just give me a good book and a bottle of
wine...

Alice...I certainly agree...I work on the internet 10 hours
a night...I would MUCH rather have a good book than surfing
around on here.
I think 90% of the internet is shit anyways.....

=)

we prolly didn't, but the ways we've adapted to them prolly
suggest that we do need them.

technology isn't vital tho, i wouldn't think. it just makes
life easier (and harder in some respects).

i think yes, because some members of our community wouldn't
have jobs without computers - including me.

I mean...There is nothing more useful than E-Mail, but did
you ever received a letter or a postcard from your
girlfriend? You can smell it!!! Just excellent.

yea native americans have as much significance as the rest
of us imo.

the klondike gold rush precipitated a change to the Eskimo
culture here permanently. makes me wonder what it's like to
be in their shoes sometimes.

Do we need them NO......are they useful yes!
they have changed the way people communicate. it's wonderful
how i can talk to people from the four corners of the world
and share views with people who think like me.....and people
who don't. ehhehe
i dunno....it's opened up the world in many more wonderful
ways than i can explain. but with that comes the
bad......but i think overall it's a good thing.

i still love reading.....the computer will never change
that....just changes when i find time to read =0)

I think the Internet is the most culturally-significant
invention since the printing press. We've only just begun to
tap its potential.
