so, the Pandora is almost here. i want this to be
good, but i'm quite happy with with my GP2X and this looks a
bit clumsy. it reminds me somewhat of homer's dream car.

still it could be great. anyone tickled by this?

money...

DS lite + CycloDS evolution = win.

this Pandora thingamajig looks cool, though.

the more I stare at the pic of the Pandora on the main page,
the more it looks like a photoshopped ds lite. They do have
videos of it on the blog section, so I guess it could be an
extraordinarily well funded scam, but hopefully it's for
real.

Its real. It actually has a lot of similarities to the DS.

I don't mean that to sound prickish.

Still no news. I'm leaning towards 'scam' at this point.

Well I guess it's legit. The emulation looks pretty shaky at
this point, though. Also that guy should have rehearsed that
presentation better. :D

i had the sound off so i guess thats lucky...heh. i bought a
GP2X at the end of 2007 and that demo showed nothing that i
cant already do. i get the impression that they've been a
bit over ambitious with this project.

the spec is impressive but I'm dubious about the supposed
battery life "Up to 10 hours battery life under reasonable
load 8.5 hours under max CPU load"

whilst this may or may not be the next gizmondo, i cant help
but feel that this is going to be a bit underwhelming. i
don't want to hate but i feel like i have little other
option.. anyway, with a GP2X and G1 phone i have portable
Internets and gaming covered, so no actual interest in
acquiring one of these, but its interesting to keep an eye
on.

Yeah, I've got no plans to purchase one as a DS with a Cyclo
+ GBA expander is all I need for portable gaming and
wireless internet (not that I've used it for web browsing
but it apparently can be done). If I ever wanted to take it
one step further I'd buy an Asus EEE, or the new MSI Wind.

for all it can do you might as well go the next step and get
a net book. i bought one a few months ago (acer aspire one)
and it was great n all but realized i couldn't actually
afford it and didn't really need it so sent it back under
the premise that the microphone didn't work. i'm finding it
harder and harder to see the point of this thing. spesh
since i've just got ScummVM working on my phone :))

This ScummVM thing seems really cool. I'd love to play
monkey island on my DS... It seems like there's hardly a
platform ScummVM doesn't support. Do you know if any
of those versions be made to run on a DS?

here. THIS

yea, it works... It plays most of the classics perfectly.
The controls work real nice too. The screen is a bit small,
of course. I just tested it to see if it works, and it does.
