is anyone into all this new breakcore mixed with happy hardcore "comedy rave" type stuff?
like wrong music and all these people who are fusing loads of different shit together.

I don't really care as I don't listen to it. Plus I still refuse to accept 'breakcore' and a genre.

if John Cage had something to say about it, he would say this IS music.

I mean hardcore and breaks have been mixed together since the days of alec empire, atr & panacea. this dj scotch egg stuff doesn't seem that far removed from that stuff, except its less about death sex and fuck you and more about super mario brothers & lollipops.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought that for the distinction to be made between so called breakcore and happy hardcore it must have been different.
I mean Gabba contained a fair share of breaks in a lot of tracks and not all of it was just "about the darkness, man"

It's a lil different, but closer to the sound of classic hardcore than that poppy dance dance revolution crap they were calling happy hardcore. It's about as nuts as fantomas imo, at least DJ SE, haven't really heard much else tbh.
