i guess that the lotus won't be any popular at all without all the kyma presets, reaktor 5 presets, glitch vset presets and without the 0db mastering that's just defining 2008 music. i mean i dig all of those above but shit this album is a fucking gem. the mastering with all that dirt and hiss reminds me so much of madlib or early chain reation where they just didn't give a fuck if it's clear and punchy and the music was the important part. fuck |

I really prefer the grainy, on-tape, badly over compressed vibe. It humans everything up and makes beats less flat and spaceless. |
