It's taking forever to download the frigging gameplay
trailer! The servers must be really stressed. I saw it by
accident, logging into WOW. Based on everything blizzard
have ever done, this should mos def rock. I'm just a bit
concerned about the 3d thing, because the graphics where a
big part of what i loved about diablo I and II.

no one in their right mind would slave over a high def, 100%
sprite based game these days though. although it would have
looked awesome.

I would, if it was Fallout 3! I would play fallout 3 to
death, if it just had a storyline as good as the first 2,
even if it had the old graphics engine. The same goes for
planescape torment!

But yeah, it would never ever happen, and i'm still looking
forward to both Fallout 3 and Diablo 3.

yeah, i'd love to see the infinity engine alive again,
baldur's gate 3, pst2 etc.

but they would have to use the AD&D rulesets again... fuck
3ed++!

i'm just glad diablo is back, what a series! but where's the
guitar music? i also hope it looks a bit more sinister later
on, the gameplay video reminds me of neverwinter nights/dark
alliance.

Hmmm ... Star Craft 2 seems to be alright with the 3d
upgrade , but I'm getting a bad feeling about D3 by these
videos. I'm a huge fan of 1 and 2, and there are way too
many things already in 3 that might turn the franchise into
something else. It's kind of got a gauntlet legends thing
going for it from these videos, where as part 1 and 2 were
very basic, which made it very cool and made for excellent
replay.

I though the only time the hero talked was in game. That
Cain cut scene is stirring my doubts. Hmm. Until it is
released, I can't use this ... yet.

I don't have a spell ready

It just looks to me like they are using the 3d the best
possible way they can, + filling the game with awesome
little details (The addition of Havoc is neat). For example,
the way the barbarian climbs a ladder... It looks great! And
i cant get the 4 virgins that were sacrificed out of my
head...

I'm pretty convinced now, that it's going to rock.
Everything blizzard have ever made has been absolutely
brilliant for it's time, and come on - They junked 2 games
that were almost complete because they didn't live up to
their standards. You won't se EA doing that anytime soon.
