i had a bet going with some colleagues and i said 3-1 for holland. bastards. |

they'll never be able to win germany, italy or france in decisive matches. that's my opinion. so in case by some miracle italy and france get in quater finals, holland is fucked. |

normally i would agree, but after seeing what they did against italy and especially france. the moment the french came behind 1-0 the match was pretty decisive by itself. especially for france, and it showed. they were dominating the game for a significant part of the match, and still the dutch were able to score 4(!) times. and the beautiful thing is, the dutch are still growing into the tournament. they're not at the top of their game yet. sure, decisive matches are from another category, but there's no reason why they should be fucked if they had to play italy, france or germany (especially germany!!! ARE YOU NUTS????). spain and portugal is where the real danger is. and yes, playing against the french in the final would be a different story. italy however, i doubt it. they're a lost case. |

I can't see Portugal win against a well organised team like Holland. I think Portugal looked very pale so far. Haven't seen Spain play yet. Anwyay, this tournament will get very interesting. Really looking forward to the finals. And things are really looking good for the Dutch. If Holland reaches the final, I think I'll travel north to enjoy the atmosphere. |
