How do i stop this ongoing battle between my father and my mother.
I live in my father's house and all that goes on here is excessive eating, long talks, weed smoking, cats peeing, complaining about my mother.
My mother's house: fake happiness, everything looks really nice all the time, kept tidy, stepbrothers
my mother thinks that my stepbrother is emotionally challenged and needs more friends, he has no friends and goes with my mother to sewing classes, and bookscrapping workshops. So she think i can basically save him from being worse off, and that my being around can somehow bring him out of his shell.
Please i am starting to feel insane, my dad i feel is overanxious about the future in this "2012" conspiracy crap, and my mother seems to be ignoring the choices she's making, but seems more dependable or admirable.
i don't know what to do, i'm sorry for this personal emotional crap but i really don't know what to do.

actually we have "family meetings" every so often, qand at the last one we had to watch a 2 hour long video of him singing with a closeup of his face to the camera, and him doing skits with his stuffed animals. i think he's 15 or 16.
It's like i think my mom thinks i have some secret that will make him all better

get him drunk and find some boobies for him to touch and he will be cured.
and i'm actually partially serious about that. it's about time he started that shit, and it's to do it with someone who is experienced enough to know when they should stop. and if you guys just hang out, watch a movie or something, i bet you'll be able to bring out quite a few things in him which you did not know.

whats funny about that is when we all went on a cruise together, the last night of the cruise, we had some girl in our room ( me and my oldest stepbrother ) and she was like tickling him and all over him, but he was trying to act like he was still asleep, and i know i saw him smiling and giggling.

it's just my mom's and dads house are two totally different places, and i like being here at my dad's. i feel that i have alot of freedom and i like having the choice what to do with it. At my mom's i feel like i'm in school or something, like it's homework being over there,
she's always been the disciplinarian type mom, cause my dad was always somewhere else, then coming back buying us candy and doing fun stuff with us, she was always cleaning, making sure shit got done, but i know i'll always love my mom, even if i dont like her at all, but my dad acts more of a buddy, at the same time though, i think i've learned alot more being around my dad these past years, thats why ive chosen to live with him. my mom just thinks i think hes the better, more fun parent that does smokes weed so he's cooler.

yeah man but he's not even at the point where he's got friends, like he carries around this suitcase all the time that is of no importance, and he acts very feminine but seems too clueless to even be gay, it's like he's just a five year old acting out all these personalities, but he's got a uni and mustache and he's all teenagerish,
whenever i goto my mom's house i have like no energy anyway to be involved with anybody, i just goto my "room" (that has guitar/fender posters all over the wall) and i just sleep.
Plus i'm not really a "normal" teenager either, i've only had like one girlfriend and i just sit at home and make music

then there's no reason not to
stay at your father's, but go out and visit your brother a good deal, talk to him, laugh with him, that's all it takes to equip him with some social skills and confidence
you'll feel better for it in the long run

that's not my incentive for living where i do though. I don't smoke with him any i try not to be involved with it as much as possible,
I remember he used to smoke when i was yuounger and i didnt like the way he got all "cool" with me after,
I havent smoked in a while either.
trust me if you think i take that as a "cool" trait in him you're wrong.

seems like the only real influence he has had is your mom, like he's kind of trying to be her. (cue theme from psycho)
you say you're not "normal," but at least you have a girlfriend and aren't going to fucking sewing classes with your mom.

Do you think your mother would just say to your stepbrother at some point that maybe he should go to the mall or something instead of going with her to sewing class?
Even if he is socially awkward aren't there clubs and what not at school he could go to? Hell debate club or the school paper would be better than sewing classes.

going to the mall is pretty bad in another sense, but its still certainly a step up from sewing classes and country music.

We went to the mall when we were in high school. One big perk was you could still smoke cigarettes in there at that time. So we would roam up and down smoking cigarettes, getting kicked off the bench by security and trying to score weed or find someones house to hang out at after the mall closed at 9.

hehe, yeah, that was one of the down points of the mall to me and my friends - if we wanted to smoke, we had to make our way aaaaalllll the way over to one of the hidden exits which they want you to forget exist.

sorry for the depression, trust me i'm around this stuff, and it's fuckin my family up.
though don't think for one second that my stepbrother is the type to go crazy, he may get sad, or annoyed with his little brother, but it's more like a small form of cerebral paulsy or autism

sounds like your step bro is some sort of napoleon dynamite character. take him camping, feed him some shrooms, or go ravin and feed him some md, mite bring him out his skin a little?
As for the familly situ that sounds pretty harsh, had no experience livin with seperated parents, but it does sound like your moms house and dads place are extreams of each other... get your own place and find a happy medium??
In the mean time jus hang out with ur bro a bit, but beware if he finds out ur only hangin with him to help him, he might like his lifestyle, and you 'helping' him may be what tips him over the edge into a knife yielding maniac.
peas.

i had a cousin who was very awkward socially, a total mommy's boy...
me and my big bro decided to loosen him up a little with some booze and weed, talk about girls, introduce him to some people. (me and my cuz 15, my bro 17)
but he just wasn't interested, he just bitched and refused to drink or mingle with our friends, probably thought we were total meatheads. he was more interested in his pokemon cards and rpgs.
so you have to take it easy, throwing a blunt and a forty in his lap and expecting him to change probably isn't gonna happen.
he did get better in the end tho, he's 22 and at college.still a little nerdy, but at least he has friends.
also:your dad believes all that 2012 bullshit? he needs to cut down on the weed i think!
