The other night I experienced a glimpse of the future.
I was DJ'ing at a club, rocking an Ableton set. This lass
comes up to me and asked if I had a Siriusmo track called
femuscle. I have it on vinyl, it's a wicked track but I
didn't have it on my computer, but instead of saying 'No
sorry' I said 'Sure, just give me a minute.'
I knew the club had wireless cause I had been using it
earlier while waiting to play. So while still playing I
jumped on beatport, purchased the track, warped it straight
up and then dropped that shit.

I give you the FUTURE>>>

The other night I had a glimpse of the past. I was listening
to Beethoven and I didn't like one of the piano solos so I
traveled back in time and raped him which altered hos
outlook on life and therefore the solo. Coincidentally, it
also led to a drug overdose.

So no one else thinks this is kinda cool? Strange, I thought
it was awesome. Don't you guys like technology?

some would say that downloading music isnt exactly "new"
technology. i dont know whats so awesome about it.

Sure downloading isn't "new", but to my knowledge
downloading a track during a set, and then dropping it in
said set WAS "new". Or at least worthy of a thread.

Sorry to waste everyone's time with my story.

Well, you kinda intrigued me.

What I would like to be able to do is to play a set on a
laptop and connect to my own harddrive at home - preferably
a big terrasized server - and then transfer whatever I need
from there as the set progresses.

This is probably possible to today but could well have a
more userfriendly interface for someone like me.

i think in the future, you'll be able to store so much
information in a regular laptop, you'll already have every
track you need on it anyway. (we're basically there already)

Of course... I'm such an old retard. I need to start to
think outside the 'box' again, like I did before I had
kids... I think they suck the brains right out of my skull

:P
