no line out? That bass preset is used in lots of "digital" reggae records. It's called the sleng teng bass or riddim or something. There's probably a wikipedia on it I'm too tired to look.

Haha I just bought a Casio MT-500 from a car boot for a fiver. Works perfectly, fairly nice pads out of it too (wow!) Might open it up at some point and have a dig around. It would be really cool to get some clock outputs from these Casios, link them up to a modular, and have a Casiotone meets IDM jam. Hah.
