seems like an improvement compared to the previous album, though lots of average songs... some gems as well however. i wish there were more harsher sounding songs, though 'past mistake' is a lovely slow one. this's got soul..unlike new portishead. i feel massive attack's new one is going to be the best one of the three though.

I prefer it to Blowback, though like tolst says there's quite a few average songs. I felt a little of his magic again. It had been a while. Not sure it can top Maxinequaye, nearly god or pre millenium tension.

How was Vulnerable and Back to mine? He has released a lot of mediocre albums after Pre-Millennium, but there are always one or two tracks I really like. I think I need to dig out some of the old stuff, and have myself a Trip Hop evening.

good album. Some average songs, i agree. There are 4-5 tunes i like quite a lot, it definitely deserves to be listened too.
