The Tuss: looking back

So 2007 was a good year for music, but I'm ready for
another Tuss release. Does anyone here have any inside info
regarding any possibility of another tuss album in the
works? I'm not expecting detailed information like release
dates and track listings, just whether or not anything is
being done with this moniker.

What about you? What band/artist/group do you hope is
working diligently behind closed doors?

I'm still quite curious to what Squarepusher comes up with
next, as well as Ceephax and maybe a new AFX? I don't know,
i just sit and wait and hope to be baffeled again

cheap it sounded.

you atleast a tiny little bit curious?

tuss gets play every day, easily.

finally heard rushup I bank 12 live (at the festival).

sounded good on the riverfront/in the breeze.

release of the decade for me, but i don't find myself
needing/wanting any more. satisfied. edged.

Alspacka is the fuckin nuts! Earthleakage is just being
different for the sake of it. Alspacka is superbly balanced
and well built.
Mind you i can half see where ol Earthy is coming from as
some of the tuss stuff is a bit clumsy and crap.

I don't know if I'm sold that it's all RDJ. I mean a lot of
it obviously is.

Might be Reflex's answer to Gescom?

offline AMPI MAX from United Kingdom on 2008-06-26 15:00 [#02218336]

Nah it's defo RDJ. The synths, the patterns, the masterfully
unique choice of melodic movement, that AFX timbre. I'm not
an uber mega IDM fan like youz guys tho....so i could be
wrong

Tuss also really sounds like the work of one guy. It's got
an isolated feel and the direction of most of the tracks
feels like the qualities of a lone musician.
