Today I need informations about GESCOM. Which are your favs
ep and tracks? Which are the most important differences
between Ae tracks and Gescom tracks?

Tell me...

First track from the first Gescom EP on Skam is great!"The
sound our parents used" on clear records. "Keynell" on Skam.
"Keynell Remixes" on Warp. These are my fav's. Download it,
now!

well - Especially PUZL - (So much so I'm gonna listen to it
this very second....ahhh, the joys of a Laptop, tons of HD
space & Winamp..)...

damn they don't sell gescom here at all. i have to download
it all.

i like the key nell cd (very autechre-ish) and the
machines.... but i don't care very much for that motor ep...

I seem to have survived without really taking in Autechre at
all.
So last week I decided I'd buy Incunabula (good start as
it's their first Warp album) just to see what all the fuss
was about. That album is AMAZING! Really nice intricate
layering of sounds.
I bought ep7 today for €9.20
Very nice too. Nice packaging. Gotta buy all Autechre stuff
now. Top notch sound!!

like that?

Ah! The Keynell sound is pretty unique - those slowly,
moving progressive beats are awesome... Keynell (Ae mixes)
are pretty similiar but somehow not.

My personal fav. is Keynell track #3.

Phatbert: 'LP5' and 'Amber' are considered as
'must-buys', especially since you're enoying 'Incunabula'.
:-)

Edit posts? Nah, I rather check my spelling or preview the
shite before I post it.

Imagine having the Edit-feature in real life. That would be
something, especially when you're dating someone. It just
can't go wrong, can it?

Regarding the Keynell (Ae mixes)... they are OOP so you have
to buy them in second-hand - preferable (but not limited to)
eBay. :-)

Keynell is a phenomenal release...so very unlike any other
Gescom release...infact it reminds me of the way Ae made of
HUGE chunky beats in Chiastic Slide and no other. It is
almost like Chiastic Slide and Keynell are brothers...but
within each artist's catalogue, there is no other comparison
to them.

"The Sound Of Machines Our Parents Used" is another great
release. I personally thing that Minidisc is quite a boring
listen once the novelty of absolute random noise wears off.
Apart from that, Motor is another bad release.

i'll answer you naccers old bean.

there is very little you can get on cd (other than iss sa),
you can still get both the 0161 or skampler compilations on
boomkat.com or skam.co.uk which both have gescom tracks on
them. 0161 has 1 untitled gescom track on it and skampler 3
gescom tracks (i think). skampler is the better of the two
and i recommend that you get it because its ace (also has
jega, legofeet, bola and BoC on it).

if you are VERY lucky you may be able to find key nell on
cd.
