If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, then you know what
I'm talking about.. "alergies". For the first three days, I
was using wads of tissues to plug up my nose, when I had the
chance, of course. Now when I even just barely touch my
nose, usually when blowing it, it sends sharp needle pain
straight to my brain. Then I sneeze, but only weeezing for
a minute straight and eyes bulging out. I fucking hate it,
how about you? Do you have allergies, and if so, what
helps?

*allegies

I try and keep a jar of pickled jalapeno peppers around. I
eat one every so often, eyes water up, and then release all
the built up mucus. uhhh!

Wet paper towels held up to the nose help also.

eating a spoon of local honey, or better yet, local bee
pollen, does wonders for seasonal allergies, or so im told.

i used to get absolutely terrible allergies, puffy red itchy
eyes, constant congestion, the whole gamut of possible
symptoms and never found any medications to help, be it
benadryl (diphenhydramine), allegra, or any of those other
otc or prescription pills.

fortunately i moved to the other side of the country and am
now 100% allergy free all year round! woo!

Yeah, the only pills I've found that sort of work are
extra-strength "cold" ones. Allergies already make me
drowsy, so I can't feel the side-effects anyhow. I wish I
knew where to get this local honey everyone talks about.
I'm not about to go poking about and I haven't seen a
roadside stand for ages. Gone the way of the Kmart.

There's a giant produce store nearby, I'll have to look for
honey next time, though much of its stuff is flown in. Out
of town there are some Whole Foods supermarkets; I'll look
in the phone book and see what else I can find. Thanks.

i would doubt a whole foods would have local honey. you best
bet would be to check out your local farmers markets.
