It took me about 20 minutes to realise Beowulf was all CGI
so I didn't realise the CGI in this apart from the end when
they destroy some Peruvian tourist attraction. It was good,
almost in the spirit of... I don't know, how they used to
make films. Fuck those 20 minute long fight scenes though.
Didn't Indy just shoot the sword waving guy in the first
one, what happened to that ethos?

a bit too much action not enough story but hell, it's indy,
i'll forgive the plot holes and cheese.

There's a lot of forgiving because it's Indiana Jones, which
worries me... thecrimsonguard has shone in this thread.

i'm sure temple of doom and last crusade wouldve needed a
whole lot of forgiving too after the flawless raiders. my
main issue with the film was the cgi, the rest i loved.

Well I've seen all three of the original film and
Raiders certainly isn't flawless, and temple of
doom
needs no forgiving.

I wasn't referring to you specifically about people
forgiving it but I've seen an awful lot of "well, it's Indy
so I'm lenient with it" not just here but other places.

Haha yeah I will but I live 40 miles away from the nearest
cinema so I'll have to wait for the DVD release.

ah. fair enough. i totally missed out on the original indy
films. i grew up with them being one complete trilogy, and
its hard to imagine how people wouldve reacted to temple of
doom after raiders. of all the films, raiders of the lost
ark is the hardest for me to find things to be critical
about, hence calling it flawless.
