I wanted to make a cheesy version of the classic Stone
Roses song Fool's Gold after I stumbled upon one of
its melodies whilst playing GTA: SA and toodling on my
piano... luckily it's quite short :P

Foo'z Mold

Purists don't kill me!

Don't think your MP3 has finished converting. It's silence.
Ill listen again in the morning darling x

hmm, it didn't convert it properly :/ It's mainly blank so
I'll have to reconvert it.

It's just a lot of silence.. but then it comes in just when
it fades out.

It's either brilliant or a mistake.

It's a brilliant mistake ;) I'm uploading the rectified file
now!

Ok, first of all, I haven't heard the original, so I can't
really say anything about how this is compared to, or
relative to, that.

It has a very Miami Vice-ish feel to it, and just like the
music from Miami Vice, it's short, and has that kind of
"this is meant to accompany something" thing. In other
words, it's possible that the track is an isolated aspect of
some larger whole that has yet to be realised.

Ok, that's sugar-coating it a bit: The track is lacking.
However, I think it would actually work well if you put
slow-motion sleazy 80s "erotic movie" scenes to it.

I personally kept thinking of late 80s Jean-Claude Van Damme
films when listening to it - it's just a fun knock-together
thing anyways so it'll be lacking a lot of things! :D

very 80s, haha. It's fun, in a goofy kind of way.

"Jean-Claude Van Damme films"

spot on for a just-killed-my-brother-training sequence or a
just-killed-my-brother-sex scene

I knocked out another tune today using the old MIDI
Keyboard: I'm sure I'll get more serious with it as time
goes by, still just having fun.... this one sounds like it
was ripped off from Twin Peaks ;)

A Cruise

Haha, yeah, I hear the Twin Peaks feel in it.

Actually, it kind of also incorporates Sega games and A
Clockwork Orange in some kind of strange way.

It's lovely! And in a different way from the music in those
things to which it is related.

Why bother getting serious when not being serious lets you
put out good stuff?

Well that's very kind of you, thanks!

I'm nearly done working on another one, hip hop beatz
underneath some ambient pads... it's sounding niiiiice and
I'll spam it once I've got this spoken word sample I'm after
:D

I really wanted to post a scene from Boxing Helena as a
video reply to your first track. The one where Julian Sands
is getting it on to Enigma while S. Fenn is watching , but
alas youtube did not have that one.

So instead I am telling you about it and also that I enjoyed
these.

Emma the cat lied down and allowed me to scratch that spot
on her back by her tail. She purred very loudly. In other
words, she likes the song and so do I.

I just listened to Cruise, that was very nice as well. The
other songs were saying 'file not found.'
