the amen break is about as cool as dropping the "whoo ..
yea" from rob bass in your tracks.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with the amen. its a good
break and many ravers will agree! any track too far up its
own ass to leave it out takes itself too serious.

Wait, so any track which doesn't have the Amen Break takes
itself too seriously and is up its own ass?

I think he's saying when someone who composes that style
music refuses to use it because of the hype and they don't
want to conform.

The amen break is such an unstoppably phat loop it can never
be discarded for fashion sake! It's wonderfully adaptable
and just lends itself so perfectly to most things. It's over
used but for a bloody good reason. Nothing is as stabby (yet
chunky) the AMEN is.

BTW no i don't know where you can find any good amen swift.
I am new and presume you have been here. I don't
know about sound quality so it's probably rubbish but luv me
for trying.

'Human bodies and created sounds, like flowers, crystals
and galaxies, can never exactly equal any ideal mathematical
template. But the major wave peaks of the Amen Break, and
many of its smaller ones, seem reasonably close to being an
expression of the fractal nature of the wonderful Golden
Ratio. I wonder what it would sound like if it was more
precisely proportioned to the ideal, but I also know that
slight differences are what make it human and alive.'
