LAZY_IRAN

I don't have a crystal ball but if I did I would have to
guess that America is going to have to introduce Democracy
to Iran soon.

if i had a nickel everytime sobebody told me "OMG WE'LL
INVADE IRAN WITHIN 6 MONTHS" i'd be some dude with, well,
about 45 cents.

anyways, ain't gonna happen. maybe if iraq hadn't turned
into a fucken mess, but now? naaahhh... that warmongering
shit has backfired badly for the administration.

If any big oil producer chooses not to use US dollars for
oil it will have a massive knock on effect on the economy.

something would have to happen for the us to go into iran
with how things are right now. it is an election year and
what cyrstal dude said. americans are very change minded
right now, but we are still stung from how this whole thing
started and people are on edge because of the economy. so
if something happened over there while we are still in iraq
then i could see this thing blowing up further. otherwise
the new leadership will probably wind it down and start
bringing more people home.

tricks.

they got away with that because of 911

that would make most people stupid. which i suppose is right

Julius Caesar talked about how willing people are to trade
in their freedoms when they are afraid and looking to you
for security. After 911 the people pretty much said "here
is a blank check, do whatever you have to do."

And so began the campaign of these military industrialists
and oil tycoons. Now we cannot even drive our cars it is
too expensive.

the value of the dollar. it's not that one-sided, m8.

I am selling all the stock I have in the American Stock
Markets now.

I am going to buy gold, a physical block of 24 carat gold
with all the money I can get. Because I believe that we are
screwed.

you are right it is the combination of the gas prices and
the economy that is really putting the hurting.

in my company the only thing they are talking about is
revenue. everyone is going crazy trying to do anything to
drive top line sales.

Iran, I'm not worried about much anymore. Now, China is a
country we might have to be careful with. Then again,
probably not. The US govn't is already intimidated by China.

According to Scott Ritter (former UN weapons inspector),
Bush ordered the military to be prepared to launch strikes
against Iran in June 2005.

You can find a few mp3s of his speeches that make for
interesting listening.

if coordinated militia attacks were to continue, and it were
to come out that they were being funded by surrounding arab

The way it seems to me, everyone's reluctant to say that the
war itself was a failure, etc, and angle it like they're
supporting "the boys," aiming, rather, for their homecoming
than the end of the war (of course the latter would be a
consequence of the first, but the first sounds nicer).

[Tolstoyed] Sounds good.

Another factor in the impending new climate is that the
autocracies are gaining ground ... China is huge in cuba,
Africa, South America and the Caspian area now.

When you have "failed states" like it consolidating massive
power.. while the last main poewr.. usa....gets bogged down
in it's failed imperial takeover of a resource-rich region..
things start slowly tipping. Beware the red giant I say...

I really don't see us taking on Iran. Iran has a
much-capable armed forces. The Persian Gulf is a bathtub.
Iran has plenty of mines and anti ship missiles (AShMs) at
their disposal. The terrain is difficult to locate these
batteries along the coast. Iran would start attacking cargo
and oil ships, which would send oil skyrocketing, yes ...
but it would also close off the gulf and then China would
certainly get involved. The US isnt the only ones relying
on the gulf for oil shipment. Close that off and everyone
will suffer.
