captured on video!

I wish this would happen to more "esteemed journalists"

i'm ambivalent about something like this... we should not
encourage terrorism - I GUESS - especially when the aim is
not so clear. it could be just a cry for attention.

but... finally. what a perfect target.

take it easy, it's only a gesture of mock-violence, the only
real damage is to his ego.

but they seem to miss the face too often, the pie-throwers
:(

time to practice aiming

use a heavier cream. add rocks. something to weigh down the
pie tin.

famous tom friedman quote "not all muslims are terrorists"

is that like saying..."not all indians are alcoholics?" "not
all black people are lazy?"

Sure it is, you just have to do it right otherwise all
you'll get is more police.

oh yes. I've occasionally had the pleasure to read his
half-witted witticisms.

he's the sort of inconsequential hack who is so boring that
every time he uses the word "flat", somewhere a baby dies.

*For his long-standing support for the US Occupation of Iraq
and the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Such committed
support to the US War Machine and its proxy states overseas
cannot be masked behind any twisted mask of "green" - the US
Military is the largest single emitter of greenhouse gases
in the world.

hah, the slow building round of applause afterwards is
pretty amusing :)

that sounds like a quote taken out of context. it sounds
like a reaction to the hysteria that swept the us after
9/11. where i live, it wasn't just muslims who were
targeted; anyone who looked middle eastern might be harassed
or attacked.

why not make an effigy and throw a pie at that? it would be
just as effective...

if i could delete this post, i would.

with vigilance i will be able to extinguish the temptation
to post reactions to opinions on the internet.

My knee jerk reaction to the Friedman pie-ing is: good. Fuck
that guy.

if i could delete your post i would too because it's fucking
idiotic. have you ever read his editorials? yes, that quote
was taken out of context, i wasn't going to actually post
his entire stupid article, but he has a pattern of saying
ridiculous shit. like one time he asked arab reporters for
al jazeera in qatar who would win more support in an opinion
poll among arabs, Bush or bin laden! what kind of a question
is that? are those the choices? he's definitely not a
sophisticated thinker at all, an absolutely terrible foreign
analyst and i don't really get why he is so lauded. he
deserves more pies in the face for sure, dang.

he's a clown, and clowns are your usual pie targets, so no
harm done.
