None better. Maybe the aforementioned Beatles, and Stephen
Merritt. Or maybe not, I'm sure if I was listening to them
now I'd be too enraptured to deny them the title of
toppermost of the poppermost.

Yes. They were an excellent band and probably the slickest
producers of the 70s, along with Pink Floyd.

Perfect pop? Not far from it at least.

have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future
Even if you fail

I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination
Makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness
Still another mile

I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder
Of a fairy tale
You can take the future
Even if you fail

I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream

Marvin Gaye was the apex of pop music. The word you're
looking for to describe Abba is: shit. God bless.
